A silky cru wine made from a blend of syrah (75%) and gaglioppo (25%) grapes grown on the hilly vineyards near Cirò and named after the vineyards owner. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle, this wine can be further aged for many more years.
Tasting Notes:
Ruby red with flashes of purple. Spicy, silky and mouth-filling notes of red berries, cranberry, pomegranate, violet, vanilla and coffee with a soft leafy note. This is a full and powerful wine with a long pleasing and lasting finish.
Pairs well with braised meat, roasts, second courses based on game and semi-matured cheeses.
Serve at 16-18°C.

Vinification:
After a soft pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation (22-24°C) takes place in in 15 hl oak barrels and then rests for a further 12 months in oak barrels and at least 6 months in bottle.
