Grown at 520 meters in the hills of Rovito in Calabria and made from a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. This is an elegant wine marked by dense and elegant tannins, with good acidity guaranteeing it will age gracefully for many years.
Tasting Notes:
Bright ruby red. The nose is a succession of wild berries, humus, vegetal scrub and rhubarb, then macerated red flowers, liquorice root, on the bottom a well-assorted touch of dark spices, cinchona accents and ferrous hints.
Expressive perfection of these grape varieties, full of freshness with soft tannins and balanced spicy notes that elegantly closes with a long vegetal finish.

Vinification:
Natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts, of which 25% whole bunch, in small open tanks with daily soft punching down. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in the barrel.
Aged for 12 months in 225 Allier barriques and chestnut tonneau, refined in the bottle for a minimum of 10 months. No filtration.
