Made from 100% Magliocco Dolce, the indigenous grape which is found almost exclusively in Calabria, and sometimes confused with Gaglioppo. It’s colour and very intense aroma is reminiscent of Montepulciano D’Abruzzo.
Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby in colour, an intense aroma and flavours of coffee, crunchy red fruits, jam, pepper, geranium and balsamic. This is a full, tasty and satisfying wine with fine composed tannins and no heaviness.
Pair with salami, white meats, aged cheese, spicy dishes and meat sauces.
Serve at 14-16°C.

Vinification:
Following a soft crushing-destemming, fermentation takes place in 50 hl steel tanks. The wine ages for 10 months in steel tanks.
