This riserva wine is made from a blend of Calabrese (aka Nero D’Avola) and Magliocco dolce grapes.
Tasting Notes:
Red in colour with violet highlights. Intense and complex aromas and flavours of wild berries, plums and coffee with a pleasantly spicy finish. Following 8 months in oak barrels and a year in the bottle this wine is full, smooth and soft on the palate.
Drink on it’s own or with meats, aged cheese, mushrooms and wild boar ragù.
Serve at 14-16°C.

Vinification:
Following a soft crushing-destemming, fermentation takes place in 50 hl steel tanks. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 8 months and in steel for 10 months.
