Made from 100% Dolcetto, and from 65 year old vines planted in the calcareous-clay soils on the lower parts of the vinyards by the winemakers grandfather. Refined in steel tanks for 6-8 months and bottled in the spring after harvest.
The colour is deep purple and the wine has excellent texture with salty and spicy aromas of blackberry, black cherry and cinnamon spice. On the palette red and black cherry, liquorice and a hint of prune and almond in the finish. The wine is on the medium to lighter side and pairs well with pizza, pasta and lighter meat dishes and cheese.
