Made with 100% Barbera, macerated on the skins after soft crushing for 12-15 days at a maximum temperature of 28 oC , then racked to oak barrels where it is aged for 10-12 months. The use of 25% new oak make this wine vibrant in colour with the aroma and notes of blackberry and sour cherry. Softer tannins and high acidity give the wine a medium to lighter bodied freshness and is both a ‘ready to drink now’ wine, it will also age well over a couple of years. The wine pairs well with pasta, tomato dishes as well as foods with spicy heat.
