Made only from a selection of the best sangiovese grapes from the vineyards in Conca D’Oro, one of the top sites in the 100% organic sub-region of Panzano. The wine is refined in large 1,000 litre French oak barrels for 24 months and aged for at least 12 further months in the bottle.
Round and harmonious with fine acidity and tannins, a wonderful true expression of the terroir.
Tasting Notes:
Intense ruby red. Complex and concentrated on the nose with aromas of red flowers, red fresh and sour cherries, blackberries and plums, together with delicate spices and fine citrus notes. On the palate there are also leathery and earthy notes, smooth tannins and a fine structure with well balanced persistent flavour.
Pair with lasagna, red meat, steak, pork, lamb and mature cheeses.
Serve at 16-18°C.
