This is a remarkable ‘Riserva’ wine made from blending Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes (80%-20%) from vineyards in the municipality of Cellino San Marco, Salice DOP. Careful vinification has created this exquisite example of this style of wine that is excellent with red grilled meat, mushrooms and seasoned cheeses.
Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby red, with orange sparkles that have a propensity to increase with age. Black and red fruits, liquorice, spice and tobacco. Extremely full bodied, powerful and lush with pulpy velvety tannins and good structure and acidity.
Pair with red grilled meats, game, mushrooms and seasoned cheeses.
Uncork at least one hour before serving at 18-20°C.

Soil: Calcareous and tending to orange.
Yield: Limited Edition wine produced for us with initial production of 120 bottles only.
Vinification:
Manual harvesting, with individual choice of grapes then following fermentation matured for 12 months in French oak barrels before being bottled and then aged for for a further 6 months.
