Expressive varietal Syrah from Sardinia. A big full bodied red which will age for a long time.
Tasting Notes:
Notes of sour red cherries, plum, spices and bitter dark chocolate. Dry, warm, with silky smooth tannins.
Serve at 16-18°C.

Soil: Weathered granite
Altitude: 180 metres above sea level
Harvest: By hand in small crates at the end of August and early September
Vinification:
The destemmed grapes are fermented from 20 to 30 days in a French oak conical fermenter and undergo a daily manual punching down. The must is pressed using a manual press, to ensure a gentle pressing, and the juice is then transferred into medium and small wooden barrels where it ages for 12 to 24 months. The wine then rests in the bottle for a further few months.
