A delicious textural and aromatic orange wine from the slopes of Etna.
Tasting Notes:
Light metallic copper. Intense notes of strawberry and white flowers, pumpkin and candied citrus peel, ripe cantaloupe. Aromatic, well-balanced mineral hints and good acidity.
Vineyard Characteristics:
Altitude: 650m. asl
Soil: Sandy loam with volcanic ash
Training system : spurred cordon counter-espalier
Harvest: Manual selection of individual grapes over several passes
Vinification:
Maceration and fermentation on the skins in steel vats for at least 3 months. Matured for 6 months in third or fourth passage French oak barrique and a further 18 months in the bottle.
