Pianura di Terra d’Otranto is the result of an intimate understanding of the region and the different characteristics the environment has to offer. Intentionally produced to contrast with its sister wine Serra di Terra d’Otranto produced just 20 miles further south, this classic high quality style of negroamaro comes from the Agro di Galatone in the historical area of Apulia stretching between Lecce, Brindisi and Taranto across the plains known as the Terra d’Otranto which extend from east to west of the peninsula where the land is characterized by deep red soil, rich in iron and organic matter and crossed by strong winds during the growing season.
