Under the DOC, Langhe Rosso can be a free for all for growers to use any type of red grape in this blended expression. Our selection, however, is made from the three prestigious grape varieties – Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera – indigenous to the reserved growing area of Castiglione Falletto, and is made in the same way as in 1930 when it was baptised ‘Enfant’ after receiving three medals and a diploma at a prestigious exhibition in Brussels focusing on youth and wine.
The colour is intense ruby red with garnet reflections that will be more evident with aging. On the nose it is gentle and delicate with scents of raspberries and violets, acquiring strength and refinement with age. On the palette it is dry, full bodied with velvety and harmonious tannin. Pairs well with white meat, stews, pork dishes and pasta.
